WMDA Accreditation

CNMDR was awarded WMDA accreditation in March 2005 (as fourth organisation of its kind in the world). That means it meets strict criteria set by WMDA for: marrow donor recruitment, testing their transplant features, securing safety and quality of the collection of haemopoietic cells, and many other organisational, ethical, legal, and finical contexts.

Defence of awarded WMDA accreditation is implemented in five-year cycles.

2) EFI – European Federation for Immunogenetics

EFI Accreditation

Central HLA laboratory of CNRDD bears the EFI accreditation since 2001.

It proves the fulfilment of European requirements for the quality of laboratory tests of HLA transplant features.

Defence of awarded accreditation is implemented in one-year cycles.

3) JACIE – Common Accreditation Committee of the International Society for Cell Therapy (ISCT) and the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT)

Both the CNMDR’s collection centre and Transplant Centre at the Haematology Section of FN Plzeň are bearers of JACIE accreditation since 2008. The accreditation proves the meeting of strict international standards of quality and safety of both medical and laboratory practise during haemopoietic cell collection, their processing, and therapeutic application, including both processing and reporting of all work results.
